CitySmart Vietnam launched the Interactive English program in February 2006 due to popular demand by many parents. The program is developed by West Moreton Anglican College (WMAC) in 1994 and has grown to be one of the largest independent schools in Queensland, Australia. This makes CSV the first English Language Center in Vietnam, in both HCMC and Hanoi, to offer certificates from the government-accredited school NEAS (National ELICOS Accreditation Scheme), Australia’s official English language training accreditation system.

What is Interactive English?

Interactive English” is a unique English program recently designed and introduced at CitySmart Vietnam. The purpose of “Interactive Learning” is to help students learn how to communicate effectively in English in a short time frame with the best pronunciation possible in a 100% English speaking environment. We can understand Interactive English in 3 standards:

1. Interaction  between Students and Teachers:
   CSV is one of a few English centers for children in Ho Chi Minh City to offer classes with 100% native English language teachers. In addition, teaching assistants have a high level of fluency and speak only English in the classroom. There are a maximum of 16 students per class which allows them the chance to speak English frequently, improve listening skills, practice pronunciation and be confident in communication.
2. Interaction between Students and Students:
   Teachers encourage students to speak only English in the classroom. Students learn from each other through group exercises and activities. This focused interaction helps students develop their speaking and group-work skills.
3. Interaction between Students and modern facilities:
   “Interactive Learning” is considered the best teaching and learning approach. It has been adopted by most developed countries and applied in top organizations such as MIT, Harvard University and NASA. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, each classroom is equipped with a sound and light system combined with an amplified speaker and microphone, LCD Projector, computer with high speed internet, DVD Camera, and Interactive White Board or SmartBoard. Each lesson requires teachers to prepare materials that stimulate the senses to appeal to the variety of learning styles. This explorative learning encourages students to see, touch, smell, hear, and even taste in order to maximize the learning process. This range of activities ensures children have fun while learning English.

English for kids – For children from 4 to 6 years of age

Our “Kindergarten English” program consists of 6 levels of English ranging from Smart 1 to Smart 6 that can be completed within two years. Each level is a 15-week course requiring 60 hours of classroom instruction. Qualified, native English speaking teachers prepare and teach 100% of the lessons. There are a maximum of sixteen (16) students per class. We use highly respected books from the Oxford University Press: Tiny Talk 1 to Tiny Talk 3 as well as relevant and high quality materials.

English for Children – For children from 7 to 12 years of age

Our “English for Children” Program consists of 3 levels; Starters, Movers, Flyers which vary in course length. Qualified, native English speaking teachers prepare and teach 100% of the lessons. There are a maximum of sixteen (16) students per class. We use highly respected books from the Oxford University Press: Let’s Begin to Let’s Go 6.
